Biography
Dr. Maher Ghawji, Jr. is a board-certified endocrinologist who is proud to return to his hometown of Memphis to provide expert, compassionate care for a wide range of hormonal and metabolic disorders. He practices general endocrinology with a focus on diabetes, functional and structural thyroid conditions, including cancer, adrenal pituitary, parathyroid disorders, and osteoporosis.
Dr. Ghawji performs in-office thyroid ultrasound and biopsies for patient convenience and comprehensive care management. In addition to his outpatient practice, he provides inpatient endocrine care at Methodist Germantown and Baptist East/Collierville hospitals.
Dr. Ghawji completed his Internal Medicine residency program at Baton Rouge General Medical Center, where he was selected to serve as Chief Resident. He then completed his Endocrinology Fellowship at UTHSC Memphis, where he served again as Chief Fellow in his last year. He is board-certified in both Internal Medicine and Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism.
He joined Endocrinology Associates of Memphis in July 2024. Outside of his practice, he lives in Collierville with his wife and their three children.
